What is this little web app about?
CY Aqr is a star in the constellation Aquarius. It was discovered in the early 1930s to be variable in brightness with an exceptionally small period of only 88 min. So whatever you're up to right now, wether you are sitting at school, in the bus or lying in bed, CY Aqr will do its thing. It expands, gets brighter, reaches its maximum brightness and eventually collapse again. This web app is here to calculate the moment of expected maximum brightness. Just pick a date and a time (in UTC) and click on the button. A list will give you the last and the three upcoming maxima, along with some additional infos. Clear skies and enjoy your observation!
